Admissions
We welcome children from 4-11 years old. We are a Christian school and our supportive, inclusive values are reflected in our admission policy.
For Reception to Year 6, places must be applied for through the Local Authority (ie Cheshire East or Cheshire West and Chester etc) for the county in which you reside. Click here to find your Local Authority
The school currently has a published admission number of 210, with 30 children in our EYFS unit. We hope to offer a place to all families who choose Bunbury Aldersey CE Primary School. We currently have 4 Open Days planned for autumn half term 2024 for Reception starters 2027:
Reception 2027 Open Day - Wednesday 30th September 2026 9.30am – 2.30pm
Reception 2027 Open Day – Wednesday 14th October 2026 9.30am – 2.30pm
Reception 2027 Open Morning – Friday 20th October 9.30am – 2.30pm

Parents and Carers who are considering Bunbury Aldersey CE Primary School for their children should contact the Executive Headteacher who will be pleased to show them around the school and answer any questions. In addition we have numerous open days throughout the year for you to come and visit our school.

Parents and Carers should be aware that in the event of oversubscription, places will be offered in accordance with our admissions policy oversubscription criteria. Any Parent or Carer not offered a place in accordance with preference will have a legal right to appeal.

Appeal hearings (on time applications) - Heard by 16th July 2027
Appeal hearings (late applications) - Within 40 school days of the appeal closing date where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
