'let their light shine'
Welcome back to the final term of Year 6!
I hope you have all had a restful Easter break and managed to enjoy plenty of chocolate. We are delighted to welcome you back as we begin an exciting and important final term together.
Our regular PE days remain Wednesday and Thursday. On these days, children should come to school dressed in their PE kits. We will be making the most of the warmer weather and aiming to be outdoors whenever possible, so please ensure children are dressed appropriately for the conditions.
Connected Curriculum
During the first half of the summer term, our learning across the curriculum will be inspired by the beautiful and thought‑provoking book Manfish by Jennifer Berne. This inspiring story follows the life of Jacques Cousteau, who, from a young age, fell in love with the sea and dreamed of breathing beneath the waves and swimming as gracefully as a fish. This text will provide a rich foundation for our work across a range of subjects.
The topic web, available to download below, offers an overview of what the children will be learning throughout this half term.
All documents required to support homework can be found in the tab at the top of this page.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch—we are always happy to help.
Kind regards,
Mrs Smith
