Homework Summer 1

Hello Year 4,

I hope you've all had a lovely half term and a Happy Easter eating lots of chocolate! I am looking forward to seeing you all and hearing what you have been upto!

All of our homework documents are attached below for this half term, you should be able to find everything you need to complete your homework.

Any spellings and timestables practice can be completed in your yellow homework books. Don't forget to keep practicing your timestables on TT Rockstars.

The link below is the website where you can create the worksheets to practise for the weekly 5 minute timestables test:

MyMaths
MyMaths is our online homework resource for the children, I will set weekly lessons, in the same way as we did previously with Mathletics - this will all be linked to what we are learning in class. This is a great way to help support your child at home with their Maths learning and it's also an engaging, fun and interactive way of learning.
Follow the link to login using your child's details (which can be found in their reading record) - School login - MyMaths
Certificates are being rewarded at the end of each half term, your child must have completed all pieces of assigned work with a pass mark of 70% questions answered correctly for a certificate to be awarded (they may attempt each task more than once), this has been decided in order to promote consistent effort and practice.
If you have any questions regarding this resource please don't hesitate to contact me.

Weekly Spellings -  You will also find your child's weekly spellings on the class page based on the spelling rules we are learning in class. These will be dated with the test date of the words on them for ease. You will notice the format of the sheet has changed slightly and the spellings for the whole half term for each week have also been added, these can also be found on Homework Summer 1 (these spellings are not tested in school regularly, however they make up the Y3/4 statutory spelling words so continuing to practice them at home is also important. They will be tested at the end of each half term.)
Mrs Armitage's spelling group will have slightly different spellings to learn each week so please look out for these sheets on the class page.
There is also a slightly different homework sheet which is labelled below.

Takeaway Homework - please choose one task from the Takeaway homework sheet below each half term, this will be handed in on the 22nd May.

If there is anything else you need, please let me know.

Miss Snelson
