PE 2023 - 2024

 

Below is the proposed timetable of sporting tournaments and events, dates and times are subject to change.   Once we receive confirmation from Tarporley High School that the event is to go ahead, (usually 1 week before the tournament) .  

You will receive a text from school informing you that your child has been selected to attend a sporting event.  The text will ask you to log on to School Spider/App and complete the relevant permission form.  Please either logon to School Spider/school website and complete the relevant form for the sporting event under the ‘survey & forms’ tab and submit or via the School Spider App. Please always complete the form when invited to, as soon as possible, even if your child cannot attend the event.

 The selection process is based on key points such as:

·         Behaviour

·         Application in lesson

·         Effort

·         Ability

 Please be aware:  X-country events are open to all children within the tournament relevant to their year group.  You will receive notification via text prior to these events.

 

Parent Information

Oudoor Sports Competitions

Held at the back of Tarporley High School either on the playing field or astro. They will need to wear their school PE kit and their trainers, boots are recommended if the grass is wet. Please provide them with a healthy snack, a drink of water and warm outer layers. You are very welcome to come and support these events. A teacher will meet you at the back of the High School at the start of the event.

Indoor Sports Competitions

All  Indoor Sports Competitions will be held at Tarporley High School, in the  Sports Hall. They will need to wear their school PE kit and their trainers. Please provide them with a healthy snack and a drink of water.

Important Information - Tarporley High School has undergone significant work to their Sports Hall, converting storerooms into changing rooms, creating additional storage space and developing a fitness suite on the balcony.  This means that the balcony can no longer be used as a spectator area.  Therefore, for the foreseeable future they can no longer allow spectators to attend tournaments in the Sports Hall.  Apologies for this and any inconvenience that it may be cause.

Drop-off & Collection - A teacher will meet you inside the sports hall at the High School at the start/end of the event.
