Year 6 2022 - 2023
At the heart of everything is a personalised approach to each unique individual as part of our Christian Community. The strong family ethos ensures that all children and staff feel valued, respected and grow in self-confidence. Enthusiastic and caring staff with high expectations, demonstrate care of the whole child. Through God’s guidance we encourage each and every child to 'let their light shine'.

Welcome to Year 6!
Miss Hickson and Mrs Walker are your teachers in Year 6.
We welcome you to your final year at Bunbury Aldersey CE Primary School. Whilst we have lots of fun and enjoy our learning, we will also expect you to work hard and try your best. We expect high standards of work and presentation but are always available should you need to ask about anything.
I wonder…How has Crime and Punishment changed through the ages?
The whole school umbrella text for the summer term is ‘I Wonder’. Each class has then chosen a STEM focus for their topic. In Year 6, we will be learning all about Crime and Punishment through the Ages.
Our summer term topic web below provides an overview of what we will be learning across all areas of the curriculum.
PE lessons will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
We are all looking forward to enjoying your last term as a primary school pupil with you!
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to speak to me!
Our Class Charter
As a rights respecting school, one of the first activities completed in September is our Class Charter. The children choose a number of articles which they feel must be met at school. It is then discussed how the adults (duty bearers) and the pupils (rights holders) in school ensure that these rights are met. Have a look at our class charter below.
