Y4 Deva Roman Discovery Centre Trip
I am delighted to announce we have secured a visit to the Deva Roman Discovery Centre in Chester, which will take place on Friday 22nd March 2024.
Year 4 will get to travel back in time and experience the amazing discovery centre where they will learn all about Roman religion, life in the army, soldiers' equipment, Roman food, the bath house, toilets and gladiators. We will also partake in outdoor activities, acting as Roman soldiers we will march through the centre of Chester, visit the amphitheatre, learn some Roman battle formations and partake in a mock battle!
We will be leaving school by coach at approximately 9.45am and returning in time for the end of the school day. Due to the time of year of the trip, please could you ensure that your child brings a waterproof and warm coat, a hat, gloves and wears their school uniform with comfortable footwear. Please provide a packed lunch which includes a bottle of water in a rucksack style bag.
The cost of the trip will be £22.45. This includes all of the day’s activities led by a qualified expert and return travel to Chester. Please consent and make payment online at SchoolMoney no later than Friday 8th March 2024. Should you require financial assistance towards the cost of the trip, please speak in confidence with myself or Mrs Badger.
