TT Rockstar Final Competition Day & Fancy Dress

TT Rockstars Competition Mon 11th March – Fri 22nd March & Whole School Fancy Dress Day Friday 22nd March
At school, to encourage the children to practise their timestables, we will be having a TT Rockstars competition culminating in a Rockstars Day! There is a battle set up between the Y2-Y6 classes on TT Rockstars which the children will be told about by their teachers. Please encourage them at home to gain as much points as possible before the day! There is also a competition set up between the other two schools in our Trust: St Oswald’s CE Primary School and Warmingham CE Primary School.
To celebrate the end of the competition on Friday 22nd March, children can come to school dressed as their very own rockstar. They can come dressed in whatever rock star fancy dress outfit and accessories they like (for example leather jackets, wigs, dyed hair, guitars etc.). During the day, each class will spend some time on the ipads doing TT Rockstars to get as many points as they can towards the battle before it ends. The winning individuals/class/school will then be announced and given a little treat/award.
This is all to encourage the children to regularly access the Times Tables Rockstars online resource at home as it is such a fun, engaging and valuable learning resource which has a proved track record in helping children learn their times tables.
Reception and Year 1 will also participate in the themed day by completing maths activities and their own competition as maths rockstars!
